5x5

5 Favourite Rock/Alternative Albums

1. Tom Odell- Long Way Down (Key tracks: I Know, Can't Pretend, Sense).

2. Muse- Absolution (Key tracks: Apocalypse Please, Blackout, Butterflies and Hurricanes).

3. Queens of the Stone Age- Lullabies to Paralyze (Key tracks: Everybody Knows That You Are Insane, Tangled Up In Plaid, In My Head).

4. Nirvana- In Utero (Key tracks: Scentless Apprentice, Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle, Very Ape)

5. Arctic Monkeys- Humbug (Key tracks: My Propeller, Dangerous Animals, Secret Door).

In my opinion, alternative rock music is the most versatile genre and is definitely the one I listen to the most. Whilst in genres such as pop and even metal, things can seem to get a bit 'samey' after a while, I have found that I can always find something different and new in alternative music and I hope to continue doing so!

5 TV Shows

1. Game of Thrones- A complex fantasy series with several interwoven plot lines set in the fictional / medieval continents of Westeros and Essos. A gripping show with some of the most shocking and graphic  content I have ever seen on TV; most definitely the best series I have watched on TV and it is not for the faint hearted!

2. The IT Crowd- A comedy sitcom about the work lives of two socially awkward IT nerds and their female co-worker who knows nothing about computers. The light hearted humour and sarcasm never fail to amuse me and it is one of my all time favourites.

3. The Mighty Boosh- Perhaps the weirdest show I have ever watched, it is a comedy sitcom about a group of friends and their crazy adventures together. There's never a dull moment with Boosh which is why I love it so much.

4. Father Ted- A 90s comedy sitcom concerning the lives of 3 Irish priests that work for the parish of Craggy Island; a remote island off of Ireland. The simplicity of the humour gets me every time and never gets dated, a series I could watch over and over.

5. The League Of Gentlemen- Based in the fictional town of Royston Vasey, The League Of Gentlemen (who are 4 comedians who play all of the characters) is a sitcom about strange isolated village life and features a number of oddballs. The dark humour is always hilarious.

5 Favourite Comedians

1. Noel Fielding- "When I'm 70 I might be a man in a park just wandering around, speaking in tongues with kids throwing bread at me."

2. Russell Brand- "You don't really think the bible was written by a cosmic entity? The holy spirit ain't got a pen!"

3. David Mitchell- ("You promised not to tell!") "Hitler promised not to invade Czechoslovakia, Jeremy. Welcome to the real world."

4. Richard Ayoade- "I like being weird. Weird's all I've got. That, and my sweet style."

5. Jack Whitehall- "I guess I'm homophobic in the same sense that I'm arachnophobic. I'm not scared of spiders, I'm not scared of gays. Though I probably would scream if I found one in my bath."

5 Favourite Sub-Genres of Metal

1. Metalcore (Notable artists- Bring Me The Horizon, Pierce The Veil, Asking Alexandria.)

2. Nu-metal (Notable artists- Korn, Rage Against The Machine, Slipknot.)

3. Industrial metal (Notable artists- Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, Motionless In White.)

4. Thrash metal (Notable artists- Pantera, Metallica, Sepultura.)

5. Electronic metal (Notable artists- Crossfaith, Enter Shikari, Korn.)

5 Spur-of-the-moment Favourite Songs

1. Avenged Sevenfold- Scream.

2. McFly- All About You.

3. Lana Del Rey- Sad Girl.

4. Korn ft Skrillex- Get Up!

5. Slipknot- The Negative One.

These are just 5 songs off the top of my head that I've been listening to a lot recently. I'm sure if I was to do this again in a weeks time they would be completely different.
